  92. WS_FTP Pro Classic and Explorer

  95. -----------
  96.   WS_FTP Pro is a Windows-based file transfer client application that 
  97.   transfers files between a user's local PC and a remote computer 
  98.   system connected via a modem and telephone lines or by a local-area
  99.   network. With WS_FTP Pro, users can connect to any remote system 
  100.   that has a valid Internet address and an FTP server program, 
  101.   browse through directories and files, and transfer files between the
  102.   two systems. In addition, users can create, change, and remove 
  103.   directories and view, execute, rename, or delete files.

  105.   WS_FTP Pro complies with the Windows sockets (Winsock) standard, 
  106.   allowing you to transfer files between a wide variety of systems, 
  107.   including Windows, OS/2, and UNIX systems.

  109.   WS_FTP Pro is shipped with two user interfaces: the "Classic" which 
  110.   looks like a standard Windows application, and the Explorer with a 
  111.   user interface that resembles Windows Explorer.

  124.   The WS_FTP Find Utility allows searching an FTP site for files.
  125.   This utility is useful when searching for files on a large,
  126.   complex site.

  135. Description
  136. -----------
  137.   The WS_FTP Scripting Utility automates the transfer and 
  138.   management of files through FTP commands such as open, get, 
  139.   and put. For example, you can create a script that instructs 
  140.   WS_FTP Pro to upload certain files, and then use a scheduling 
  141.   program to run the script at the same time each day or week.

  143.   Script lines that start with ';' are comments and are ignored by
  144.   the command processor.

  151. WS_FTP Synchronize Utility

  155.   The WS_FTP Synchronize Utility is designed to allow you to 
  156.   "mirror" folders and directories between your PC and a remote FTP 
  157.   server. It lets you keep remote sites up-to-date by automatically 
  158.   uploading files which have changed, while deleting files that 
  159.   have been removed from the master directory. This is especially
  160.   useful for quickly and efficiently updating live web sites from
  161.   an authoring site, or for mirroring FTP servers.

  172.   The WS_FTP Scheduler Utility is an interface to Windows Scheduler 
  173.   that allows you to schedule time consuming or reoccurring tasks 
  174.   to be executed automatically.

  178.   The WS_FTP Scheduler requires Internet Explorer 4.02+ to properly
  179.   function.  Microsoft has discontinued the ability to download
  180.   the Task Scheduler add-in for Internet Explorer 4.x.

  187. WS_FTP Browser Integration Utility

  191.   Browser Integration allows you to use WS_FTP Pro to download files
  192.   from a web browser. With this feature, if you select a download 
  193.   file in your web browser (provided the download file has an FTP 
  194.   URL), the download will be processed by WS_FTP Pro.

  201. Installing (All Applications)
  202. =============================
  203.   If you purchased a WS_FTP Pro CD-ROM, insert the CD in a 
  204.   drive. If the CD does not automatically display a "Welcome" 
  205.   screen, click the Windows Start button and select Run. 
  206.   Enter the CD-ROM drive letter followed by autorun.exe. For
  207.   example, D:\autorun.exe. Follow the instructions on your
  208.   screen.

  210.   If you downloaded WS_FTP Pro from the Internet, run the 
  211.   downloaded application, ftpproec.exe. Follow the instructions
  212.   on your screen.

  215. Uninstalling (All Applications)
  216. ===============================
  217.   The uninstall function removes all files associated with 
  218.   WS_FTP Pro from your PC, including your configured sites. 
  219.   It also removes the WS_FTP Pro Explorer icon from your desktop.

  221.   To uninstall WS_FTP Pro, you can use the Uninstall application 
  222.   that is installed when you install the product. To do so, click 
  223.   the Start button, select WS_FTP Pro, and then select Uninstall 
  224.   WS_FTP Pro.

  230.   Automatic connection retry timer

  232.   We added a timer to the automatic retry; the default is to 
  233.   wait 30 seconds between retries. To change this option, you must
  234.   add/modify the following line in the site's INI file:

  238.   Automatic re-connect option

  240.   We added an option to automatically re-connect to a site when
  241.   a command is issued on a closed connection.  This option is
  242.   "on" by default.  If you wish to disable this option, you must

  249.   Sounds are now completely handled through the Windows sounds 
  250.   settings from the Windows Control Panel. To change or remove a
